Karen's Quilt
Just popped outside for a few minutes to check where the moon was. The eclipse covers it by about half. I plan on going out again at 9:26pm when it's supposed to be full and try to take a few pictures. The pictures probably won't turn out that great but it's worth a try.
Lunar update: No pictures. I couldn't even find it with my camera. But the view was pretty awesome. The surface of the moon was reddish/pinkish and Saturn and Regulus were shining very brightly on either side of it. That's the last one until 2010 so I hope you got a look.

at 2/22/2008 10:41:01 PM- We parked the minivan on the hill in Queeny Park, rolled down one of the side windows, and let the kids climb over us and each other from 7:30 until the eclipse was total (no complete). Magnus stared at the moon the whole time. I couldn't get any decent pictures either.

Saturn...that was the planet I couldn't think of. I, too, tried to get pictures. I could find the moon, although the more I zoomed in, the harder it was--also, it was harder to focus the more zoom I used, but I guess that's a given. The moon gave off a LOT of light, despite the eclipse, and I'm not good enough to control for that, so even though I captured it, the light of the moon eclipses the eclipse.
